If you think your garage door opener is in need of repair, it may be a good idea to invest a little more and just get an all new opener. Check out our list on the benefits of a new garage door opener.

1. Increased Safety
At Garage doors sales & Service, we only sell new garage door openers that include safety sensors that detect any object in the way of the garage door. If the sensor is tripped by a pet or child, the opener will reverse and bring the door back up. Our openers also include built in force sensors. This means that if the opener notices it needs more force to lift or lower the door, it will trip the switch and the opener will reverse. This could be due to the opener hitting something on the way down or pulling something on it's way up.

2. Higher Security
One of the many features of new garage door openers are their increased security features. Older garage door openers function with a fixed code. This makes it very easy for someone with a special device to detect the code as it never changes. Armed with the remote code, they can open and close your door at will.
New garage door openers function only with a rolling code. Think of a combination lock, but this lock's code changes every time the opener is used. This make it virtually impossible for anyone to detect the code and break in to your garage

3. Quieter function

Older openers usually always run on a chain drive system. The constant rattling of the chain is sure to wake up the whole house hold. Consider replacing your chain drive opener with a new belt driven garage door opener. The use of a belt over a chain results in much quieter operation. On top of that, the belt has a unlimited warranty, so you have zero risk from going from the chain drive to the belt drive opener
